I was born in a puppy mill in Ohio. I ended up at the A1 K9 Rescue. I suffered from malnourishment and a prolapsed rectum. I ended up having 2 surgeries to correct my prolapsed rectum because I prolapsed twice, the second one being worse than the first. The vet had to tack my colon to my abdominal walls to keep me from prolapsing and they spayed me too while they were in there. Needless to say it was a pretty long road to recovery. I was given love and care during my stay at A1 K9 Rescue.
After an adequate amount of recovery time, the vet allowed me to be adopted by my new family in Pennsylvania. It took my body awhile to heal from the ordeal for a few months after my surgery my stomach was really sensitive. I also had a habit of eating my poops, something I picked up at the puppy mill. However after about 5 months my mom and dad broke me of that habit. They told me I would always get three square meals a day. Eventually, I started to believe them and gave up the poop eating. Now I have a clean bill of health. My new vet did some blood work recently and said I am in great health right down to my cholesterol. (Photos Courtesy of A1 K9 Rescue)
