Happy Halloween From Pea Pod

Boston Terrier in Pea Pod Costume

I hate the hat!

Yesterday I gave out candy to the Trick-or-Treaters. My costume was a pea pod. My mom made me this costume because I like to eat the veggies from our CSA. My favorite is beets, so I don’t know why she made me a pea pod. My mom is so dumb sometimes. Did you check out this stupid hat too. I hate wearing hats. I had fun giving out candy and we have a whole year to plan what I am going to be for next Halloween.

Boston Terrier Carved Pumpkin Lit

Here's my pumpkin lit up.

Yesterday was trick-or-treat in my neck of the woods. So I got on my costume and gave out candy to the kids and a few dog treats to some of the dogs that came with their families. This year I ended up being Nibbler from Futurama. My mom crocheted my costume for me and she made a Brain Slug head band for herself to match me. We also ended up making a Boston Terrier Jack-o-Lantern in my honor. Overall it was a fun night. This year it was a little bit colder than last year so that was really the only down side.

Don't I look so cute!

Vegas’s Halloween Costume Sneak Peak

7 08 2010

I know it is early to talk about Halloween but here is the deal, last year my mom dressed me up in a Squirrel costume for Halloween. We live in the city so it’s customary on Halloween to just sit on the porch and hand out candy. So I sat on the porch with my mom and gave out candy. All the little kids loved my costume. My parents love the show Futurama and last year they really wanted to dress my up as the character Nibbler. This year my mom took some initiative and did some research to make me this costume.

Thankfully she found the site Hook and Needles which features instructions on how to Crochet a Nibbler doll. My mom seems to think that the doll clothes will probably fit me so she will eventually try to make the Nibble clothes from the Hook and Needles site. My mom is also going to coordinate and make a Brain Slug head band for herself to wear on Halloween.

So I am really excited for my Halloween costume. Now my mom just has to make it, so far all she has is green yarn to make brain slugs. Hopefully she will get it done in time.

Trick-or-Treat!

Vegas in Halloween Costume with Pumpkin

Never turn your back on a pumpkin

Yesterday was trick-or-treat in our neighborhood. It was my first Halloween ever and I got to wear my squirrel costume. The squirrels bring me all kinds of presents in my backyard, like one time I got a fresh piece of blueberry bagel. So I thought being a squirrel would be pretty nifty. We gave out a lot of candy to the kiddies and they liked my costume as much as I liked theirs.

The highlight of the night, was meeting a Dachshund puppy. The low point of the night was a tie, between being bopped in the face with a foam light saber as a uncoordinated kiddie tried to pet me and Mom making me pose in my costume next to our pumpkin. As you can tell from the photo… I don’t trust pumpkins. Overall, I would say Halloween was a success. I guess I should start planning my costume for next year.

Missed the Boston Terrier Meetup Halloween Party

10 10 2009

My mom stinks. She totally forgot that the Boston Terrier Meetup Halloween Party was this morning and ended up sleeping in. I am really mad I missed it. The agenda for the party was play with my Boston friends, costume parade and bobbing for hot dogs. The only consolation is that I will be able to wear my costume when we give out candy to the trick-or-treaters. I am posting a picture of my Halloween costume so that everyone can see how cute I would have looked.

So anyway, I hope that stanky Mom of mine figures out some way to make it up to me. I gave her an earful about my disappointment for not going to the party. I am posting a video to show you what it was like, even though this video was taken on a different day. You will get the idea.
